Open Question: Thailand rain in July? Should I cancel this trip too?

Argh!!!! First I cancel going to Australia in July because its winter time there. Now everyone on Yahoo Answers is saying the rain is bad in Thailand in July. So does this mean if I go in July it will rain every day? I want it to be sunny and beautiful to where I can lay on beach and visit places like Phi Phi in nice weather.
