Open Question: Thailand rain in July? Should I cancel this trip too?

Argh!!!! First I cancel going to Australia in July because its winter time there. Now everyone on Yahoo Answers is saying the rain is bad in Thailand in July. So does this mean if I go in July it will rain every day? I want it to be sunny and beautiful to where I can lay on beach and visit places like Phi Phi in nice weather. Should I reconsider because of this??????? Everyone's input is deeply appreciated! I'm spending alot of money for this vacation and want it to be perfect. So if I have to go to Spain or the carribean instead so be it. I just need absolute advice from people who know......................BTW: I've gotten everything about Thailand answered and had my mind made up about going there until I did research on this Dilemma. So not to sound redundant or anything, I just don't want to spend all this money and then have it rain everyday there.
