Thailand King's archives are now available online on a new website made for the king birthday on December 5th, 2007

Bhumibol Adulyadej is the the world's longest serving monarch and his chronicles and pronouncements will soon be known by the whole world interested in Thai history and culture.

The new website will offer more than 60000 pages on King Bhumibol Adulyadej and the Royal family, in Thai and English language.

The free website includes speeches, photographs and official documents related to the king, Queen Sirikit and other royal family members from 1934 to 2007.

Of course as the Thai king is the best person you could know in your life, the archives will only include positive aspects of the king's reign.

Thai people and foreigners (called farang in Thailand since French were the first white people to visit Thailand) will have the pleasure to read about all the King's work to help the poorest people in Thailand and protect democracy.

Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej is the only Thai king born in the United States but he has been raised in Switzerland and ascended the throne as a teenager after the death of his older brother, King Ananda Mahidol.

Even though the Thai royal family is a billionaire family, the king never had a billionaire life and has always been close to its people, the wealth of the Thai royals as other royals in the world being shared with extended families and represents money that is controlled by them in trust for their nation or territory. For the king's birthday, the most important event in Thailand every year, people will wear in Thailand pink clothes, as when the king checked out of a hospital last month.

Thai who always need to show how much they love their king have started wearing pink clothes as soon as they have seen him with a pink jacket, and when people still wear yellow T-shirts and clothes on monday, many people are now wearing pink clothes the other days.

So the Thai king is the biggest fashion trends maker in Thailand, and as soon he is wearing a color people start to imitate him, and to celebrate Bhumibol's 80th birthday Thai people will wear yellow and pink clothes, and fireworks will also show pink and yellow colors.

It's a chance that the king has decided to change the clothes he wears as he was most of the time wearing dark suits that made him look too serious, and the world's longest serving monarch is now a colorful king, which shows more how much he is the nicest king in the world, even though he doesn't smile a lot.

Yellow in Buddhist tradition represents Monday, the day of the week Bhumibol was born, and this color is now the color that many people wears in Thailand on monday, being civil servants, politicians, or TV newscasters and movie stars.

Thai people also believe more than anybody else in fortune tellers and astrologers, and as it has been determined that pink was an auspicious color for the king's health, people have started wearing this cute color which make girls look even more cute and beautiful.

The Thai king who barely speaks in public, has not reacted to the phenomenon or explained his sudden penchant for pastels, which might not be his idea anyway, the king being above any fashion statement.

But the official king's tailor, Sompop Louilarpprasert, who knows about king's clothes better than anybody said that even if he opted for grays and navy blue in public the king has always been wearing colorful blazers inside the palace, and that he will still wear classic colors for next public appearances, as during his 80th birthday ceremony, event for which a light gray wool with faint pink pinstripes imported from Italy has been especially ordered.
